Planes Companies has been named a member of the Deloitte Cincinnati USA 100, a program that salutes Greater Cincinnati’s top privately-held businesses and their leaders for the tremendous economic and civic contribution they make to our community. Planes Companies was recognized by the Deloitte Cincinnati USA 100 program in 2011 for the 15th consecutive year.
In October 2011, John Planes was honored to receive the United Excellence/Gene Anderson Award at the UniGroup Conference, an award given to an individual who has made exceptional contributions to the relocation industry and the United agency system. In revealing the recipient of this prestigious honor, Richard McClure, CEO of United Van Lines, referred to Mr. Planes as “someone who never settles for anything less than the best, especially when it comes to serving his customers.”
The West Chester-Liberty Chamber of Commerce awarded Craig English of Planes Companies the GBI Community Support Award in 2011. This award recognizes a business that donates its time and resources to lending a hand within the community. Planes Companies donates time, materials and transportation to a variety of organizations including Reach Out Lakota, the Huff Shriner’s Toy Drive, the Heart Mini Marathon, local churches and a variety of other organizations within the five communities in which Planes serves.
Planes Moving & Storage was recognized for its overall total quality performance, winning the coveted Customer Choice Award for 2011, and achieving Honorable Mention in 2010. Customer feedback is gathered through a rigorous and comprehensive customer survey process, and United Van Lines agent ratings are determined in categories of safety, claims, and quality labor. Recognition is divided into seven size categories, and Planes ranks in the largest group, performing over 1,200 household goods shipment each year.
This prestigious award is presented to the United Van Lines Relocation Counselor who receives the highest Heart of Quality Index Score based upon questions from the UniGroup Customer Survey. In 2012 two of Planes’ Relocation Counselors won this award, joining a list of fellow Planes recipients who received the award in 2011, 2009 and 2007.
Customer satisfaction and loyalty are essential to the future of our business. The Performance Excellence Award recognizes United agents who have a relentless focus on their customers’ needs and expectations. Planes Moving & Storage was honored to receive this award in 2011.
Don Mueller of Planes Companies was honored in 2012 with the United Van Lines Operations Achievement Award, a recognition acknowledging an individual’s excellent performance in the field of operations. Only one individual is chosen for the annual award among employees at the more than 400 domestic United agencies. Mr. Mueller won this award for his level of professionalism, integrity, and passion for excellence.
United Van Lines recognized Planes Moving & Storage with an Honorable Mention for producing significant hauling revenue in the combined categories of household goods and special commodities for the time period between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010. Planes’ regional fleet produced the third highest volume of hauling revenue within United Van Lines.
In 2009 a driver for Planes Moving & Storage won the Van Operator of the Year award through United Van Lines. This award recognizes one individual each year who receives excellent customer satisfaction ratings and exceeds expectations.
The efforts of our national account sales team have earned Planes Moving & Storage recognition by United Van Lines in the Sales Achievement Category for 2009–2010. Planes Moving & Storage was named the #2 producer of national account household goods moves in the nation. The Planes sales team continually strengthens its rapport with its corporate clients, providing consultation, timely reporting, and ongoing feedback to support their relocation programs.
For many consecutive years, members of our national account sales team have earned Masters Club Status for their contribution in sales volume and target revenue. United’s Masters Club is a reward and recognition program for agency sales representatives for exceptional sales achievement during the past year.
